The 'Build Your Leganés' project, promoted by Unión por Leganés (ULEG), has successfully gathered a hundred initiatives and suggestions from residents in just ten days, demonstrating significant interest in civic participation for the municipality's future.

This platform, launched by ULEG – a governing partner with the PP in Leganés – has recorded an average of ten proposals daily since its inception. This pace has been hailed as a «success» by the political party, which plans to use these contributions to shape its electoral program for the 2027 elections.
Data indicates that 20% of the initiatives originate from the City Center, while approximately 10% are concentrated in areas such as Leganés Norte, Zarzaquemada, and Poza del Agua-Solagua. The initiative's promoters noted that this distribution reflects balanced participation across the city.

Among the proposals received are «far-reaching and relevant projects» for Leganés. These include the construction of a new building for the Music School-Conservatory, the extension of MetroSur to the La Fortuna neighborhood, and the restoration of the Church of San Pedro de Polvoranca. Additionally, numerous ideas have been submitted focusing on neighborhood improvements, public services, mobility, cleanliness, and green spaces.
ULEG officials have confirmed that all proposals will be analyzed in what they describe as the «largest citizen participation initiative in Leganés's history.» Carlos Delgado, president of ULEG and first deputy Mayor, expressed his satisfaction with the residents' response.
