The municipal pool in San Martín de la Vega closed the summer season with a positive balance, exceeding 18,000 users and registering an increase in revenue.

The City Council of San Martín de la Vega has presented the data from the latest summer season of its Municipal Pool, highlighting an increase in both the number of users and the revenue generated.
This summer, over 18,000 people enjoyed the facilities, surpassing the 16,000 users from the previous year. Revenue from ticket and pass sales reached 53,538 euros, compared to 46,840.90 euros in the 2025 season.
The total cost of the service for this season stood at 83,337.11 euros, including ordinary expenses. The revenue covers approximately 64% of the cost, while the City Council covers the remainder, nearly 30,000 euros, with municipal resources.
Mayor Rafael Martínez emphasized the importance of this public service and the balance between maintaining reasonable prices, providing good service, and responsibly managing resources. "We believe we must continue offering this service to our residents," he stated.
With the season's closure, work has already begun on preparing the facilities for next summer. Planned improvements include the construction of two fixed access points, one for each pool basin, as part of a progressive improvement plan.
The Councilor for Sports, Alvaro Pleguezuelo, noted that maintenance and investment work will continue during the winter months to ensure the facility improves year after year.
