The vice-president of ESMASA in Alcorcón submitted his resignation this Monday, expressing strong disagreement with the current management of the public company and the quality of its services.

The decision, made in conjunction with his political party, was announced through a letter detailing the reasons for his departure. The councillor voiced concerns about the company's situation, believing it falls short of the efficiency and quality standards achieved in previous periods.

"We cannot normalize that political leaders, when faced with management problems that may arise throughout a legislature, only respond by shirking responsibility."

Furthermore, the councillor emphasized that the service provided by the public company is "far from the levels of quality and efficiency" achieved under a previous administration. He also hinted at further dismissals within the entity.
The current situation dates back to the election of the current president of ESMASA, which was supported by votes from right-wing political parties. The resigning councillor's party voted in favor of this election with the aim of preventing the right from controlling the municipal company and prioritizing the normalization of public services. However, it is now believed that the current management has no intention of reversing what they describe as a "mismanagement".
Although the resignation was confirmed for these reasons, the councillor's party will continue to work from the company's Board of Directors, where all municipal political forces are represented. This departure adds another challenge to a situation that, a few months ago, seemed to have stabilized.
