Furthermore, the councillor emphasized that the service provided by the public company is "far from the levels of quality and efficiency" achieved under a previous administration. He also hinted at further dismissals within the entity.
The current situation dates back to the election of the current president of ESMASA, which was supported by votes from right-wing political parties. The resigning councillor's party voted in favor of this election with the aim of preventing the right from controlling the municipal company and prioritizing the normalization of public services. However, it is now believed that the current management has no intention of reversing what they describe as a "mismanagement".
Although the resignation was confirmed for these reasons, the councillor's party will continue to work from the company's Board of Directors, where all municipal political forces are represented.
