The Community of Madrid has allocated three out of every four homes in the Plan Vive to individuals under 35, facilitating youth emancipation with affordable rentals and expanding the program with 14,000 new houses.

The initiative, aimed at facilitating access to affordable housing, has assigned the majority of the already allocated homes to young people under 35. The regional government plans to expand this program by incorporating 14,000 new properties across 26 municipalities in the region.
Currently, 6,419 homes are available in 12 Madrid locations, including Alcalá de Henares, Alcorcón, Boadilla del Monte, Colmenar Viejo, Getafe, Móstoles, Navalcarnero, Pinto, San Sebastián de los Reyes, Torrejón de Ardoz, Tres Cantos, and the capital itself. These developments feature one to three-bedroom apartments, parking, and communal areas.
While most tenants are under 35, developments in San Sebastián de los Reyes and Pinto show a higher number of residents in this age group. The plan also offers opportunities to families with children and individuals over 65, albeit to a lesser extent.
The Plan Vive is consolidating as a viable option for starting life projects, particularly for Madrileños wishing to become independent in their home municipalities. Over 76% of contracts have been prioritized for residents registered or working in the locality, a figure that approaches 100% in municipalities such as Alcorcón, Colmenar Viejo, Getafe, or Pinto.
Furthermore, the Plan Vive Solución Joven program promotes the construction of nearly 5,500 homes specifically for those under 35, with 3,352 already allocated. Construction has commenced in Loeches with over 100 units, and work will soon begin in Alcobendas, Arroyomolinos, Colmenar Viejo, Móstoles, Tres Cantos, Valdemoro, and in the Valdebebas and Ahijones areas of the capital.
