Throughout April, Pinto delves into its history to highlight its monumental and artistic richness. The activities revolve around the figure of Ruy Gómez de Silva, known as the Prince of Éboli, a historical figure who held important positions in the Court of his time, whose life will be explored in a special conference.
Coinciding with the International Day for Monuments and Sites, celebrated on April 18, guided tours of the emblematic Éboli Tower have been scheduled. These tours will take place on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, offering participants the opportunity to get a close look at this important monument. Additionally, on April 25, a special visit will include the scavenger hunt ‘The Secret Ingredient’.
The cultural program is complemented by a new edition of the Ruta Galiana, scheduled for Saturday, April 18. Family Saturdays at the Arqueopinto Museum, located in Juan Carlos I Park, will also allow residents and visitors to delve into the town's past. The conference on the Prince of Éboli will be held on Friday, April 24, at the Casa de la Cadena, revealing details about this historical figure.
April's calendar also includes various educational workshops related to local history and traditions. Among them are chocolate workshops (April 18) and traditional music (April 25), as well as games with white clay to reproduce the coat of arms of the Pantoja family (April 11). There will also be a craft workshop with history (April 17) and the Frivolité workshop, focused on a lace technique to create rose petals. Registrations for these workshops will be made online through the Municipal Booking Platform starting April 7.
Finally, this month marks the opening of registrations for PintoArte, a collective exhibition planned for this autumn. Interested artists can send their applications to turismodepinto@ayto-pinto.es until July 3, with the sole requirement of being registered in the Municipal Census of Local Artists of Pinto.
