Pablo Serrano takes on the role of Deputy Director at IMDEA Networks, with the goal of strengthening the institute's strategy and institutional development. His appointment seeks to boost the institute's position both nationally and internationally.

The new Deputy Director holds a Master's degree and a PhD in Telecommunications Engineering from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M), where he has been a Full Professor in the Department of Telematics Engineering since 2022. Throughout his career, he has held various positions of responsibility at UC3M, including Head of Department and Director of the Master's Degree in Connected Industry 4.0.
His research focuses on wireless networks, performance evaluation, and the convergence of AI and communications. He is the author of over 100 peer-reviewed publications and has collaborated with institutions such as UMass Amherst and Telefónica Research.
Serrano's relationship with IMDEA Networks dates back several years of collaboration, making his appointment a natural progression to bring his experience to the leadership team.
