These workshops, designed for participants between 15 and 17 years old, will address crucial topics such as self-esteem, emotional management, effective communication, and personal analytical skills. The program will run for four weeks, with sessions scheduled on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
They will be facilitated by a professional team that combines experiential activities, group dynamics, and introspection exercises. This will allow participants to understand their emotions and strengthen their social skills, in a safe and supportive environment.
The first block of workshops, focused on personal development and socio-emotional competencies, will take place from April 21 to 23. A second block is scheduled between May 19 and 21. These sessions aim to encourage reflection on individual interpretations and the perception of reality.
The initiative is part of the ‘Tejiendo cuidados: Conciliación y Corresponsabilidad en Familias Vulnerables’ project, integrated into the Plan Corresponsables of the Community of Madrid. This plan focuses on supporting adolescents and families, promoting values such as respect for children's rights, diversity, equality, and solidarity.
This, in turn, frees up time for families and alleviates the care burden that predominantly falls on women.
Additionally, the sessions will incorporate habits for holistic well-being, including sports, nutrition, and conscious movement. The City Council emphasizes that the ultimate goal is to strengthen individual and collective confidence, contributing to a more positive self-perception among participants. Registration is free and can be done via email at inscripciones-juventud@mostoles.es, indicating ‘Talleres corresponsables’ in the subject line, or in person at the Pablo Ráez Martínez Youth and Children's Center.
