With just one week left until the start of Alcorcón's Fiestas Patronales, celebrated from September 3rd to 13th, the Center for Creation of the Arts (CREAA) will reopen its doors to the public. These open house days, scheduled from September 4th to 6th, will offer citizens the chance to get a close look at the potential of the complex aiming to become the future ‘Soho City’.
Visitors will be able to tour parts of the facilities and become familiar with the proposal to transform the former CREAA into a major cultural and entertainment hub. Among the highlighted spaces is the circular auditorium, conceived as the heart of the future project and one of the complex's most unique features.
This temporary opening will allow Alcorcón residents to see the current state of a space that has been part of the urban landscape and is now entering a new phase. The objective is to showcase the potential of the eight buildings that make up the complex and detail the ‘Soho City’ project, driven by the group Wonderland, which was awarded the buildings in June.
Wonderland, associated with venues like the Teatro Caixabank Príncipe Pío and with figures such as Antonio Banderas and Santiago Segura on its team, aims to revitalize the complex, which has remained unused for years, turning it into a cultural and entertainment landmark nationally and even in Europe.
The guided tours, taking place over the weekend of September 4th to 6th, represent a first contact for residents to rediscover this space and learn about the possibilities of the future ‘Soho City’.
