The Community of Madrid, and particularly Móstoles, is facing a persistent heatwave that will last through the first week of September. The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has activated a yellow alert, warning of maximum temperatures that could reach 39 degrees Celsius, especially on Friday, September 4. Nights will also be warm, with minimums predicted at 23 degrees Celsius for Saturday, September 5.
Emergency services from the 112 of the Community of Madrid and AEMET have issued recommendations to mitigate the effects of the heat. It is advised to avoid physical activity and going out during the central hours of the day, maintain constant hydration, prefer light meals rich in water, and protect oneself from the sun with hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
Furthermore, it is recommended to seek shade, ventilate homes during the night and early morning, and use fans and air conditioning moderately. In the case of vehicles, it is urged to ventilate them before entering, carry water, and never leave children, the elderly, or pets inside.

The yellow alert for high temperatures will be in effect in Móstoles and the Metropolitan and Henares areas from Wednesday, September 2, to Monday, September 7, primarily between 1:00 PM and 8:59 PM.
