This measure, included in the annual budget, seeks to alleviate the staff deficit that has affected the local administration. Since the beginning of the term, the Consistory has managed to integrate over 125 employees into crucial areas.
Among the already completed incorporations are teachers for Nursery Schools, educators for the School of Music, psychologists specializing in gender violence, architects, engineers, lawyers, general administration technicians, management technicians, and social workers.
Furthermore, for the first time, the staff of the Addiction Treatment Center (CTA) has been completed, a significant step to improve care in this sensitive social area. Previously, the CTA was without a doctor for almost a year.
“"To continue improving service to residents, the Human Resources Delegation has been allocated over seven million euros in credit, which will allow us to continue strengthening the municipal staff in strategic areas."
Currently, another 40 incorporations are in process, underscoring the commitment of the municipal government to the progressive recovery of public services, which were weakened by a lack of planning and vacancy coverage in previous years.
One of the priority areas for this reinforcement will be Citizen Security, with the incorporation of 30 new Local Police officers. Other essential services will also be strengthened, such as digitalization, with the hiring of IT programmers; administrative management, with more administrative staff and technicians; Social Services, with new social educators, psychologists, and social workers; and the Culture department, with more staff for Archives and Libraries.
In total, the creation of 77 new positions is planned throughout the term, thus consolidating a determined commitment to improving municipal human resources.
