The Leganés Fairgrounds will be transformed on June 5th and 6th to host the PLAY4LIFE solidarity festival, a musical event headlined by Camela, with proceeds supporting various associations.

The PLAY4LIFE festival, taking place at the Leganés Fairgrounds on June 5th and 6th, aims to raise funds for associations dedicated to medical research and social action. Beneficiary entities include CRIS Contra el Cáncer, the Spanish Scleroderma Association, the Spanish Association for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (adELA), and the IRF2BPL Gene Spanish Association. Residents of Leganés can purchase reduced-price tickets through the event's official website.
The official presentation of the festival was hosted by Sofía Cristo and attended by the mayor of Leganés, Miguel Ángel Recuenco, along with artists like singer José Manuel Casañ from Seguridad Social and Rafa Sánchez, as well as representatives from the beneficiary associations and the festival. Recuenco highlighted the importance of such initiatives in putting Leganés on the map, while the first deputy mayor, Carlos Delgado, emphasized the municipality's musical and charitable tradition.
The opening day, Friday, June 5th, is dedicated to families with the theme “Rock en Familia”. It will feature educational concerts, children's activities, workshops, and a gastronomic offering with 18 food trucks, aiming to introduce the history of rock and pop to all ages.
Saturday, June 6th, will showcase the festival's main lineup, featuring over 60 artists. Camela will headline a program that also includes Soraya and DJ sets by Sofía Cristo and DJ Tello. The festival will have three themed stages: one for pop and urban music, another for 80s and 90s hits with bands like Modestia Aparte and tributes to Héroes del Silencio, and a Remember stage with dance and electronic music from artists such as Fragma and Abel The Kid.
The organization has noted that moving the festival to the Leganés Fairgrounds will enhance the attendee experience due to increased capacity, better access, and public transport connectivity. The venue will also feature over 15 access lanes, dining areas, and reinforced services, with gratitude expressed for the collaboration of the Leganés City Council.
