The cultural agenda for Torrelodones from September to December kicks off with notable events such as the Flamenco Festival, the “Básicos Bulevar” series, the XIV Cycle of Great Concerts, and the traditional Christmas Gala.
September begins on the 11th with the flamenco show “Lejano” by José Maya. On the 17th, Nazareth Castellanos will give a lecture on neuroscience of stress. On September 18th, Paloma San Basilio will present her show “Dulcinea”. The month will conclude with performances by Los Meconios, a charity concert, and the play “Goteras”. Additionally, the Casa de Cultura Paco de Lucía will host the exhibitions “Awards XXIV Rafael Botí Live Painting Contest” and “The Memory of Color” by Silvia Anel.
In October, the Admanum choir will perform “Carmina Burana” on the 2nd, followed by Quique González on October 3rd as part of the “Básicos Bulevar” cycle. The program will include the “Hispanic Lyric Gala”, the plays “La desconquista” by Ron Lalá, and “The Crazy History of the Golden Age”. The exhibitions “Praise of the Manual” and “Five Years of Music in Images”, along with the piano and cello concert “Three Visions of the Sunset”, will round off the month.
November will be marked by theater productions such as “Género de dudas” and “Burladas”. The lyrical concert “Manuel de Falla and Surroundings” by Angelica de la Riva and concerts from the XIV Cycle of Great Concerts stand out. The highlight will be the twenty-third edition of the Torrelodones Flamenco Festival, titled “Jerez: Cradle of the Compás”, featuring José Mercé, Joaquín Grilo, Diego Carrasco, and María Bulería. The exhibition “The Street Was Also Ours” by Aida Poppy, Leyvel María Sánchez, Paula Díaz, and Srta. Escarlata will also be on display.
December will welcome Christmas with shows for all ages. It will include the children's play “Lend Me Your Christmas”, a concert by the gospel choir “The New Orleans”, and the Christmas Gala by the Johann Strauss Orchestra. Additionally, the musical theater “Rocío Dúrcal is Unforgettable” with Carmen Morales and Alejandro Vega will be presented, along with the family show “Goal!” by the Yllana Company.
