The Joan Miró Cultural Center in Móstoles is hosting the pictorial exhibition ‘Blancos Sollozos’ by artist Miguel Hernández Díaz until May 26th, a show noted for its minimalist approach and the prominent use of white.

Visitors have until May 26th to enjoy the latest works on display. The pieces are distinguished by their use of scarce resources, unconventional materials, and a strong emphasis on the white background, which takes on a leading role.
In this artistic concept, white is seen as a color that gives everything and retains nothing. From it emerge various geometric and linear elements that impart a distinctive texture to each piece, forming a complex composition of lines, stains, and textures.
The exhibition, part of the cultural programming by the Móstoles City Council through its Department of Culture, Development, and Tourism Promotion, blends elements associated with chance, spontaneity, creative will, and chaos.

White, defined as 'the color that gives everything and keeps nothing,' acquires an active role in the composition.

Miguel Hernández Díaz is an artist with a notable career, having participated in numerous exhibitions both in Spain and internationally, with a presence in cities such as Paris, Madrid, Seville, Valladolid, A Coruña, Barcelona, Valencia, Málaga, Salamanca, Móstoles, and Jaén.
Furthermore, he has been a finalist in prestigious painting competitions such as the Focus-Abengoa International Painting Prize (2014 and 2017), the 76th International Exhibition of Plastic Arts of Valdepeñas, the VI Torres-García Biennial Painting Prize, the XV, XVII, and XVIII Andalusian Contemporary Painting Prize, the XXII ACOR International Painting Competition, and the XVII ‘Casimiro Baragaña’ Contemporary Painting Competition.
