The warning, issued by the General Directorate of Public Health, is part of the Action Plan for High Temperature Episodes. While other regions such as the Sierra and the Metropolitan Area remain at a level 1 caution, the southern part of the region has reached the high-risk threshold based on meteorological data.
Health authorities emphasize that vulnerable groups include children, people over 65, patients with chronic conditions, and outdoor workers. Heatstroke, which can be serious, is characterized by high body temperature, dry skin, confusion, or nausea.
It is recommended to maintain constant hydration, avoid sun exposure during peak hours, and stay in cool environments. If air conditioning is unavailable at home, residents are advised to visit cooled public centers and monitor the health of elderly relatives or neighbors living alone.
