The initiative, part of the services offered by the Community of Madrid Library Network in collaboration with the municipalities of the sierra, aims to promote the practice of this mental sport among residents.
Sessions will be held on alternate Mondays at two key locations in the municipality. In Mataelpino, the activity will take place at C/ de las Saleguillas s/n (next to the school), from 12:15 PM to 2:00 PM. Scheduled dates include October 26, November 23, December 21, January 18, February 1 and 15, March 1 and 15, April 12 and 26, and May 3, 17, and 31.
Meanwhile, in El Boalo, classes will be held at Plaza de la Constitución, nº 1, from 3:30 PM to 4:35 PM, coinciding with the same dates assigned to Mataelpino.
The service will be interrupted during holidays and vacation periods. Dates without service include October 12, 2026, November 2 and 9, 2026, December 7 and 8, 2026, the Christmas period (from December 23, 2026, to January 6, 2027), and Easter (from March 22 to 29, 2027).
