The initiative, part of the Urban Agenda, will hold an intensive session next Wednesday, May 13, at the Las Margaritas Civic Center. The event, themed ‘8 hours to innovate, collaborate, and transform your city,’ is designed for 25 young people from Getafe interested in contributing to their urban environment's development.
During the day, running from 3:00 PM to 10:20 PM, various activities will take place. These include “future workshops” to explore urban scenarios, “artificial intelligence prototyping” to develop digital city solutions, and mentorship sessions, including a live podcast creation with expert advice. The program will also feature a “gamified meal” integrated into the creative process.
As an incentive, the City Council will offer a 15-euro bonus for participation and a 300-euro prize for the winning team. The day will conclude with the Late Show: Humor y Futuro.
From 9:00 PM, the event will open to the general public with a capacity of 150 people. The gala will feature a special guest expert in “cities and centennials” and a monologue by a comedian. During this closing, four young people from Getafe will participate in a live podcast with the expert, and teams will present their prototypes for public voting to choose the winning project.
Registration for both the laboratory and the final show is free and can be done via the website heylab.hexagonalinnova.net, with limited spots available.
