The educational community of the Yvonne Blake school in Fuenlabrada has voiced significant concern over the state of the center's expansion works. Parents and students participated in an occupation and a protest over the weekend, demanding that the Community of Madrid ensure the completion of the third and final phase of construction before the start of the next academic year in September.

The initial plan was for this phase's completion to accommodate all projected enrollment needs. However, the company responsible for the construction has filed for insolvency, leading to the works being stalled for several months and casting doubt on whether deadlines will be met.
