Alcalá de Henares Celebrates Fairs with Armed Forces and Security Forces Exhibition

Hundreds of residents attended the Val Sports City to get a close look at the equipment and work of military, police, and emergency units.

Hundreds of residents from Alcalá de Henares gathered at the Val Sports City to enjoy the traditional exhibition by the Armed Forces and State Security Forces, as part of the town's Fairs.

The festive event was attended by the mayor, Judith Piquet, along with several council members and other civil and military authorities. The mayor highlighted the daily work of the present units, thanking them for their participation and emphasizing that their "bravery, commitment, and public service vocation are a cause for admiration and recognition" by the citizens.
Attendees had the opportunity to see up close the equipment, vehicles, and gear of units such as the BRIPAC, National Police, Civil Guard, SUMMA 112, Community of Madrid Firefighters, General Directorate of Traffic (DGT), Local Police, and Civil Protection of Alcalá de Henares.
The activity, which began at 10:00 AM, included a performance by the BRIPAC War Band, a manual opening parachute jump by the BRIPAC, and a mountain rescue demonstration by the Civil Guard Air Service and the GREIM.
Subsequently, demonstrations were held by the Civil Guard's Canine Guides and the National Police's Intervention Unit (U.I.P.) and Cavalry. The event concluded with a second jump by the BRIPAC and the presentation of plaques to the participating units.
