The Community of Madrid Firefighters have extinguished a fire in an open-air compound in Parla, which affected 13 heavy vehicles and various disused materials.

A fire declared in an open-air compound located next to the M-408 road in Parla has been extinguished by the Community of Madrid Firefighters. The flames affected 13 heavy vehicles and various disused materials, in addition to spreading to the surrounding vegetation.
Thirteen units from the regional Fire Department were deployed to the scene, as reported by 112 Emergency Services of the Community of Madrid. After several hours of intervention, firefighters have managed to put out the flames and are currently carrying out finishing work.
The affected compound was in an outdoor area, and the fire, which originated within the compound itself, generated a large column of smoke visible from the area. Disused material and surrounding vegetation were also impacted by the blaze.
SUMMA 112 dispatched a preventive medical unit to the site, although no injuries were reported. The Local Police of Parla and the National Police also participated in coordination and security efforts, with the latter taking charge of the investigation into the incident's causes.
