A vehicle plunged from a bridge onto the train tracks, near the Fuenlabrada Cercanías station, on Grecia street, around 11 AM this Saturday. The driver, who exited the vehicle unaided, was injured and attended by SUMMA 112, subsequently being transferred to 12 de Octubre Hospital.
The Community of Madrid Firefighters carried out a meticulous and precise operation to remove the car from the tracks. Local police have launched an investigation to determine the causes of the incident.
As a consequence of the accident, rail traffic between Leganés and Humanes stations was suspended. A Cercanías train at the entrance to Fuenlabrada had to be stopped, and its passengers were evacuated on foot.
After nearly an hour and a half of work, once the vehicle was removed, circulation on the C5 line was restored, albeit with an average delay of 12 minutes.
