The Minister of Presidency, Justice, and Local Administration, Miguel Ángel García Martín, has overseen the installation of these devices in the towns of Villar del Olmo and Ambite. This initiative aims to ensure a rapid and effective response to health emergencies where every minute counts.
The measure is part of an agreement between the Regional Government and the Official College of Pharmacists of Madrid (COFM), under the Pueblos con Vida program. This program includes equipping 34 pharmacy establishments with these devices and providing training for citizens on their proper use.
During his visit to Villar del Olmo, García Martín also learned about the progress in modernizing sports facilities, including the renovation of the municipal pool and the expansion of the Casita de Niños, as well as improvements to access points and pedestrian accessibility with ramps and low-consumption lighting.
In Ambite, the minister inspected the renovation works at the Multipurpose Classroom. Additionally, the Pueblos con Vida program has funded the construction of a calisthenics park, leisure and sports areas for pétanque and games, and a track for skating and cycling. Children's and youth playgrounds have also been refurbished.
