The Community of Madrid has opened the application period for school cafeteria grants for the 2026/27 academic year, an initiative that will allocate over 75 million euros and benefit families in Alcorcón, with applications accepted until May 28.

Families in Alcorcón and across the region can now submit their applications for school cafeteria grants for the 2026/27 academic year. The Community of Madrid has launched this call, backed by an investment exceeding 75 million euros, a figure similar to the previous year, which benefited 146,000 students.
The deadline for submitting applications is May 28. Interested parties have the option to complete the process online, through the Community of Madrid's Digital Account platform, or in person at official registries and educational centers. It is essential that the application includes the signature of all adult members listed in the request.
The call introduces significant improvements to streamline the process, such as an intelligent form that adapts requirements to each specific case, thereby minimizing potential errors. Additionally, electronic signatures have been implemented, avoiding travel and facilitating the management of aid.
These grants are aimed at students in early childhood, primary, and secondary education, whose families do not exceed 8,400 euros in annual per capita income. Special situations are also considered, such as beneficiaries of the Minimum Living Income, victims of violence, or large families. In these specific cases, if the family income is between 8,400 and 10,000 euros, a grant covering 30% of the cafeteria service cost can be accessed, representing essential support for many households.
