The educational institution from Alcorcón stood out in both categories it participated in, Delta and Gamma, during the final held last Friday in Las Rozas. In addition to the two top awards, Colegio Alkor was recognized as the Most Entrepreneurial School of the competition.
The MBA League, promoted by MBA Kids, aims to foster an entrepreneurial spirit among young people by promoting teamwork, creativity, and the development of real-world business projects. Colegio Alkor presented two teams from Secondary Education:
The Delta category team (1st and 2nd year ESO students) developed the project NovaRadix, a biodegradable pot designed to guide tree root growth downwards, thereby preventing sidewalk deterioration. Meanwhile, the Gamma category team (3rd and 4th year ESO students) presented Job&Fly, an application that connects teenagers with safe and age-appropriate job opportunities in their local area.
The students dedicated several months to developing these projects, addressing crucial aspects such as market analysis, marketing planning, organization, and financial viability. The competition culminated in a business fair where they defended their proposals before a professional jury, who evaluated the projects in three phases: business analysis (50%), fair and stand defense (30%), and investment round (20%).
This competition allows students to develop essential skills such as leadership, communication, and problem-solving, offering them a practical and motivating experience in the business world. Thanks to their excellent performance, the two teams from Colegio Alkor will have the opportunity to represent the Community of Madrid in the national final.
