The Alcorcón City Council has approved the 2025 budget liquidation, confirming a surplus of 41.36 million euros that will be used to finance new investments in the city.

The local administration has confirmed the strength of its accounts, which will allow for the mobilization of 28.83 million euros in improvement projects. According to official data, municipal debt has been significantly reduced since 2017, falling from over 250 million to the current 87 million euros, representing a 65.6% decrease.
The core focus of these new investments will be housing policy. 12 million euros have been earmarked to advance the urbanization of Retamar de la Huerta and the construction of 1,200 public housing units. Additionally, the council will allocate 10 million to acquire properties in the city center for a youth housing plan and 2 million to exercise the right of first refusal in Ensanche Sur.
Beyond housing, the investment plan includes nearly 30 million euros for other key areas. Planned actions include strengthening security, modernizing public lighting, improving climate control in nursery schools, and expanding cultural facilities.
Economic management has also allowed for the optimization of payment periods to suppliers, which have dropped from 140 days in 2017 to 7.46 days by the end of 2025. Likewise, the volume of outstanding obligations has decreased from 29 million to 3.49 million euros.
