The event, attended by a representative from the Community of Madrid, served to remember the firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty. This year's edition paid special tribute to two professionals who died on April 2, 2025, while battling a garage fire in the town.
“"They never missed this memorial; they were the joy of the station."
The representative from the Community of Madrid described the day as “a sad day,” but also highlighted the spirit of remembrance and solidarity that prevailed among colleagues. The race, which covered a nine-kilometer urban route, attracted approximately 600 participants, divided into adult and children's categories.
During the ceremony, emphasis was placed on the upcoming integration process of the Alcorcón Fire Department into the regional service of the Community of Madrid, scheduled for the end of this year. With this incorporation, the regional network will expand to 23 fire stations, a step that was met with satisfaction by the authorities.
