Alcorcón has officially confirmed that Pablo Álvarez will not continue as head coach of the first team next season, after two campaigns at the helm.

The Madrid-based club has made public the decision, which had been rumored for some time, and stated that this Saturday's match against Sevilla Atlético will be Pablo Álvarez's last as manager of the 'alfarero' squad.
Through a statement, the entity expressed gratitude for the "commitment, dedication, professionalism, and effort" of Pablo Álvarez and his coaching staff during these two seasons. They highly valued his "attitude, involvement, and camaraderie" and wished him "the best of luck in the future."
The coach's departure is directly linked to the failure to achieve the objectives set for these two campaigns. The club aimed to qualify for the promotion playoffs to the Second Division, or at least keep the team in contention for it, which ultimately did not happen.
With one match remaining in the current season, Alcorcón is in eleventh place in the league table. The team has secured permanence after last week's victory against Marbella (6-2), but is seven points adrift of the promotion playoff spots.
