The Municipal Institute for Employment and Economic Promotion of Alcorcón (IMEPE), in collaboration with the Culture and Festivities Department, is organizing the Spring and Literature Fair on May 16 and 17, 2026, at Parque de la Paz.
This event aims to strengthen local commerce in Alcorcón, offering local establishments a platform to display and sell their products. Interested businesses can now register to participate in this initiative.

"In Alcorcón, we have a strong commitment to local commerce. I encourage small businesses in the town to join this Spring and Literature Fair, a free space where they can sell their products, gain visibility, and connect even more with their neighbors."
The fair, which will take place in Parque de la Paz, will feature a program of activities designed to attract the public and energize the days. These will include live musical performances, family workshops, and various recreational activities for all ages. The scheduled hours are Saturday, May 16, from 11:00 to 21:30, and Sunday, May 17, from 11:00 to 15:00.

"Local businesses are the soul of our neighborhoods. Small businesses like bookstores bring culture closer to us and are spaces from which to build community. This Spring and Literature Fair combines the best of book fairs and neighborhood markets, creating a weekend to enjoy with our loved ones and consume local products."
Selected businesses will have access to a free stand or booth to display and sell their items throughout the weekend. To encourage purchases, customers who spend more than 10 euros at the fair will receive a gift, such as bags, flowers, or t-shirts.
Participation rules state that local businesses in Alcorcón offering products for retail display and sale can register. Establishments primarily offering services will be excluded. Priority will be given to bookstores, comic shops, and stationery stores. Booth assignments will be made based on the chronological order of applications, and a waiting list will be established if necessary.
