The Alcorcón Athletics Club has voiced its disagreement with decisions made by the Competition Department of the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA) during the Spanish Club Championship.

The sports entity from Alcorcón has issued an official statement detailing its dissatisfaction, which arose after the 100-meter extra race. One of its athletes suffered physical discomfort, leading the club to attempt a substitution for the 100-meter flat race. However, the competition management system did not allow the change.
According to the club, the Competition Secretariat explained that the athlete had already exhausted her regulatory limit for individual events. The Alcorcón Athletics Club maintains that this interpretation differs from criteria applied in previous editions, where the 100-meter extra race was not considered for this limit as it did not officially score points. They state they were not informed of any regulatory modifications.
The club's primary concern stems from discovering later that other clubs had reportedly participated under similar circumstances during the same day. They mention cases where athletes allegedly competed in the 100-meter extra, 100-meter flat, and 4x100 meter relay within the same competition, which, if confirmed, would imply an unequal application of the rules.
In light of this situation, the Alcorcón Athletics Club has requested explanations from the RFEA and reserves the right to take appropriate regulatory actions. They call for transparency in the interpretation of the rules and defend the sporting integrity of the competition.
