The El Morcón Cultural Association, with the collaboration of the Fuenlabrada City Council, has organized the distribution of this typical dish. This year, nearly 4,000 portions were served, surpassing last year's record, as confirmed by Javier Ariza, the association's president.
The popularity of this event attracts not only residents of Fuenlabrada but also people from nearby towns, the capital, and even from neighboring provinces such as Guadalajara or Toledo.
As is customary, the mayor and several council members from the local government actively participated in the distribution, serving portions of migas accompanied by a glass of sangria to attendees.
The distribution began at 1:00 PM this Sunday, September 13th. Citizens, in good spirits and undeterred by the wait, queued up to two hours before the start, emphasizing that the wait 'is worth it' to enjoy this simple yet appreciated dish.
The migas, made with basic ingredients like bread, olive oil, chorizo, and pancetta, are a delicacy enjoyed by both young and old, solidifying their place as one of the most anticipated traditions of the Fuenlabrada Festivals.
