The program will kick off on Thursday, November 5th, at 6:30 PM, with an opening gala at the Teatro Real Carlos III. This ceremony, inspired by the film pioneer Georges Méliès, will include theatrical ambiance, live music by pianist Irene Albar, and a magic show. The full program will be presented, and the Premio Falúa ARANCINE will be awarded, designed by fine arts students from the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC).
The national short film competition will be a central focus, with screening sessions and talks with directors and creative teams on November 6th and 9th at the Centro Cultural Isabel de Farnesio. On November 12th, a session will be dedicated to educational centers, featuring short films from the Young Section and a meeting with their creators.
The relationship between Aranjuez and cinema will be explored through theatrical tours on November 7th and 8th, titled ‘Aranjuez, the Spanish Hollywood’, directed by Javier G. Valverde and featuring Teatrez. These tours will uncover spaces and episodes linked to the city's cinematic history, from the ECESA studios to recent productions. Advance booking is required.
From November 9th to 14th, the Centro Cultural Isabel de Farnesio will host the exhibition ‘Aranjuez on Film: A Cinematic History (2000-Present)’, in collaboration with Manuel Martínez Gómez. The exhibition will offer an audiovisual journey through films shot in the city, with projected fragments in an immersive space and a selection of film posters.
The festival will also offer specialized workshops in acting, continuity, and action scenes. Actor Ángel Solo will lead a workshop on November 10th at the Pavía building of the URJC; María Bardem, a script and continuity supervision specialist, will conduct a session on the 11th; and film specialist José Antonio Rojo Fernández will teach a workshop on November 13th.
The film ‘Muerte de un ciclista’ (1955), directed by Juan Antonio Bardem, will be screened on November 11th at the Centro Cultural Isabel de Farnesio, followed by a Q&A with María Bardem. On November 13th, the URJC Film Classroom will screen ‘Miocardio’ (2024) with its director, José Manuel Carrasco. Additionally, on November 10th, Manuel Martínez Gómez will review the history of cinema in Aranjuez and its most notable film shoots.
Music and dance will take center stage on Saturday, November 7th, with performances by schools La Isla, Danza Palmira, and Natalia Aguirre, followed by a screening of the animated film ‘Amélie and the Secrets of the Rain’ (2025).
On November 12th, the Teatro Real Carlos III will host, at 6:30 PM, a film score concert by the Symphonic Orchestra of the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, with participation from the choir of Escuela La Isla and LAD Studio.
The closing ceremony will take place on Saturday, November 14th, at 5:30 PM, at the Centro Cultural Isabel de Farnesio, featuring a gala combining music, dance, and film. The Orquesta de Pulso y Púa Vicente Aleixandre, Natalia Aguirre, and LAD Studio will perform.
