The Leganés City Council has awarded the contract for drafting the reform project of the Local Police and Citizen Security building, with an anticipated investment of over 1.2 million euros to address serious structural deficiencies.

The governing team of the Leganés City Council has approved the award for the drafting of the reform and rehabilitation project for the current Local Police and Citizen Security building. The works will have an initial investment exceeding 1.2 million euros, aimed at renovating and modernizing facilities considered to be in poor condition.
The first step, the award of the contract for drafting the rehabilitation project, has gone to Arqtel Soluciones Integrales SLP for an amount of 105,950 euros. The company will have five months from the signing of the contract to deliver the preliminary and final reform projects.
The Councilor for Citizen Security, Almudena González, highlighted the necessity of this reform, stating that "the building presents serious structural deficiencies after years of neglect by the socialist government." She criticized the PSOE for, in her view, "talking about security" while voting against the budgets that included this action.
González argued that security is a priority for the current governing team, which has increased police personnel, provided better resources, and fulfilled economic and conditional commitments that the previous socialist administration, according to the councilor, failed to meet. "This reform is just one more step in this overall commitment to citizen security, so they have more modern and safe facilities," she concluded.
