The municipal group of the Independent Citizen Group for Aranjuez (acipa) has submitted a request to the Corporation's Plenary for the repair of damage to the surface and sidewalks of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Avenue, in Aranjuez, affected by heavy vehicle traffic during the construction of the Plan Vive housing project.

The deterioration has occurred on the section of the avenue running from Tarraco Street to the Aranjuez Cultural Landscape Roundabout. According to the independent group, the constant passage of heavy-tonnage trucks, concrete mixers, and vans from various companies, weighing more than usual on the neighborhood streets, has caused subsidence and cracks.
acipa notes that, while the areas surrounding the new Plan Vive housing, totaling 400 units, are expected to be delivered with the road and sidewalks in perfect condition for the new tenants, there is a section of road that has suffered significant damage since the start of the works.
The group believes that the Works Delegation is aware of the situation and has documented the state of the location before and after the works. Therefore, they urge that the construction company be held responsible for all the deficiencies that have arisen, assuming its responsibility for the damage caused.
