The Community of Madrid has formalized the delivery of 71 affordable rental homes in Navalcarnero, located on Arcángel Gabriel Street. This action represents the second promotion of the Plan Vive in the locality, bringing the total to over one hundred apartments since the first 36 were awarded in March.
A representative from the Ministry of Housing, Transport and Infrastructure visited the urbanization last Tuesday, accompanied by some of the new tenants. During the event, it was highlighted that these homes have received co-financing from the European NextGenerationEU funds.
“"What the regional government has to do in this case is what it is doing, generating supply, looking to the future and looking to our young people and families so that they can start a new life project in the region."
It is anticipated that another 318 apartments will be incorporated throughout this year, which will allow reaching the 425 homes planned in Navalcarnero within the Plan Vive. The current development includes 58 two-bedroom and 13 three-bedroom homes, each with two parking spaces and a storage room. Additionally, 4% of the units are adapted for people with reduced mobility.
The construction of these homes has utilized industrialization techniques, a method that helps reduce execution times and ensures greater energy efficiency. The overall objective of the Plan Vive is to build 14,000 homes during the current legislature, focusing primarily on municipalities in the southern area of the region. To date, the Community of Madrid has delivered 5,363 affordable rental homes in ten localities, including Alcalá de Henares, Alcorcón, Colmenar Viejo, Getafe, Móstoles, Navalcarnero, San Sebastián de los Reyes, Torrejón de Ardoz, Torrejón de la Calzada, and Tres Cantos.
