A 56-year-old man sustained serious injuries this Sunday following a head-on collision between a van and a car in the municipality of Morata de Tajuña, requiring firefighter intervention for his rescue.

The incident occurred at kilometer 6.8 of the M-311 road, as confirmed by sources from Emergencias 112 of the Community of Madrid. The van driver was trapped inside the vehicle, necessitating the intervention of the Community of Madrid Firefighters for his extrication.
Once freed, the injured man was urgently evacuated by a SUMMA 112 medical helicopter, suffering from multiple traumas. The rapid response of emergency services was crucial given the severity of his injuries.
Meanwhile, the car driver, a 25-year-old woman, managed to exit her vehicle unassisted. Despite this, she was also taken to the hospital with a potentially serious prognosis due to the violence of the impact sustained in the collision.
The Guardia Civil has taken charge of the investigation to determine the causes of the accident. The Local Police of Morata de Tajuña also collaborated in the assistance and traffic management efforts, securing the area and facilitating the work of the emergency teams.
