A fire that broke out in the early hours of the morning at an appliance recycling plant in Campo Real has been stabilized by the Community of Madrid Fire Department, who advise residents to stay indoors with doors and windows closed.

The blaze, which started on Bronce Street in Campo Real, affected approximately 2,000 of the 5,000 square meters of a facility dedicated to appliance recycling. The emergency operation mobilized up to twelve fire brigades, and no injuries were reported, according to Emergencias 112 Comunidad de Madrid.
During the early hours of the day, the deployment was significant, with an initial intervention of twelve units. However, before nine in the morning, a partial withdrawal of personnel began, with ten units remaining in the area, indicating a more controllable phase of the fire.
The size of the premises and the nature of the materials stored at the recycling plant required a reinforced response to prevent further spread and limit the consequences for the nearby industrial and residential environment. Despite the initial intensity of the flames, no one needed medical attention for injuries.

Emergencias 112 maintains the recommendation for residents to stay in their homes and keep doors and windows closed, a basic measure to reduce exposure to contaminated air while work continues on site.

A SUMMA 112 medical team was preventively deployed to the scene, ready to act if circumstances required it. The main concern focused on the smoke generated, which led to recommendations being issued to residents in the area. Emergency services also urged people to call 112 only in real emergencies to avoid saturating the lines.
The fire occurred at a waste treatment facility located on Bronce Street, in Campo Real, a municipality in the eastern region with industrial activity. For now, the causes of the fire have not been determined, although the evolution of the blaze has allowed emergency teams to advance in its control.
