A significant deployment of Community of Madrid Firefighters has been mobilized to control a fire at an appliance recycling plant in Campo Real, affecting an area of 1,000 m².

Up to twelve units from the Community of Madrid Fire Department are currently working intensively to extinguish a fire that broke out at a scrapyard located on Bronce Street in the municipality of Campo Real. The incident, which occurred on April 17, 2026, has prompted a coordinated response from emergency services.
The affected plant is an appliance recycling facility covering an area of approximately 5,000 square meters. According to information provided by sources from Emergencias 112 Comunidad de Madrid, the fire has consumed nearly 1,000 square meters of the scrapyard's total surface.
As a preventive measure, a Summa 112 health device has been deployed at the scene, although no injuries have been reported so far. Authorities have issued recommendations to local residents, urging them to stay indoors and keep doors and windows closed to avoid smoke inhalation.
