The Directorate-General for Traffic (DGT) has reported the closure of 14 roads in the Community of Madrid due to active forest fires in the Sierra Oeste. The affected routes are mainly located in the areas surrounding Navas del Rey, Villa del Prado, Valdemorillo, Quijorna, Robledo de Chavela, Zarzalejo, Pelayos de la Presa, Cenicientos, and San Martín de Valdeiglesias.
The DGT has expressly requested that travel be avoided in the affected areas. In total, the fires have caused the closure of 47 roads across Madrid, Ávila, Toledo, and Castellón.
In the province of Toledo, 13 roads are affected in locations such as El Cornicabral and El Real de San Vicente. In Ávila, there are 12 roads with access issues, and in Castellón, eight routes remain closed.
