A team of over 400 personnel is working intensively in Valdemaqueda to contain a forest fire, taking advantage of a weather window that will last until noon tomorrow.

Extinction efforts are focused on establishing strategic safety lines north of the Pantano de San Juan. The primary goal is to halt the fire's progress before southern winds complicate control operations after 12:00 PM on Tuesday.
The overnight deployment is considered essential by authorities to prevent the situation from worsening. The public has been urged to exercise caution while emergency teams carry out an extraordinary effort in the Sierra Oeste area.
Last Monday, nearly 900 residents of Valdemaqueda were evacuated from their homes following the activation of the Es-Alert system by the Ministry of the Interior due to the proximity of the blaze.
