More than 400 personnel, supported by aerial and ground resources, worked throughout the night to reduce the threat to the affected areas. According to the Government Delegation, overnight efforts were successful, particularly around the Cofio River, which remains the most critical point of the operation.
Despite these gains, the fire remains active and is not yet under control. Throughout Tuesday, emergency teams will focus on monitoring the fire fronts and cooling down burned areas to prevent any potential flare-ups.
Authorities have warned of a potential deterioration in weather conditions, with rising temperatures expected in the coming days. Citizens are urged to follow official recommendations and avoid approaching areas where firefighting operations are underway.
