Municipal leaders from Valdemaqueda and Robledo de Chavela have requested that the Government Delegation intensify firefighting efforts to secure the progress made overnight.

From the Advanced Command Post, it has been warned that the wildfire is at a critical stage. The area surrounding the Cofio River, which flows into the San Juan Reservoir, has been identified as the most dangerous flank due to its potential to spread flames toward the Sierra de Guadarrama.
Authorities emphasized that the coming hours are decisive for containing the fire, especially given the worsening weather conditions. The Fire Department operation has worked intensively overnight to stabilize the perimeter.
Given the persistent threat, evacuation orders remain in place for the affected urban areas. Residents have been urged to strictly follow the instructions of emergency services as the battle against the blaze continues.
