This weekend, the Sierra Norte region is buzzing with cultural activity. On Friday, July 31st, at 10:15 PM, the film Paddington: A Jungle Adventure, directed by Dougal Wilson, will be screened as part of the Summer Cinema series.
On Saturday, August 1st, at 7:00 PM, the center's Auditorium will host 3 Notas – Obertura (Allegro ma non demasiatto), a 50-minute contemporary circus performance. The show, which unfolds wordlessly through an absurd visual universe, explores themes of fragility, complicity, and the imperfect beauty of group endeavors. Performed by Alfonso Jiménez Álvaro, Miguel Ángel Garrido, and Iván Alonso, with direction and writing by Raúl García, tickets cost 4 euros (2 euros reduced).
Additionally, the Library offers the DESTINO VERANO Biblioteca (Summer Destination Library) selection throughout July and August, featuring books on mountain routes, coastal getaways, cycling, climbing, and water sports, among other topics for nature lovers.
The Sierra Norte Regional Center has also announced the start of its Largo Recorrido Workshops for the 2026/2027 period, with registration planned for September and workshops commencing in October. More information will be available soon.
Finally, the ARTE INTRUSO 2027 (Intrusive Art 2027) call for artists has been launched. It is open to visual artists, artisans, associations, and cultural entities wishing to temporarily exhibit their work in the lobby of the center. The aim is to introduce contemporary art to the public and promote emerging creators. The application deadline is December 19th, 2026.
