Bustarviejo Hosts Book Presentation and Roundtable on Historical Memory

The Bustarviejo Library is preparing to host a day dedicated to historical memory, literature, and exile, featuring the presentation of two works and a roundtable discussion on Saturday, May 30, 2026.

The event, aimed at young adults and adults, will take place at 6:30 PM at Plaza de Segovia 1. It will feature the participation of Emilio Silva Barrera and Sergio Riesco Roche, who will share their knowledge and perspectives on the topics to be discussed.
The books Nébeda, by Emilio Silva Barrera, and La Segunda República y el Ejército, by Antonio Alonso Baño, will be presented. The day promises to be a space for reflection and dialogue on crucial aspects of recent history and its impact on contemporary society.
Emilio Silva Barrera, known for his work as president of the Association for the Recovery of Historical Memory, holds a degree in Political Sociology and has a career as a journalist. Meanwhile, Sergio Riesco Roche is a professor of History and Economic Institutions at the Complutense University of Madrid and coordinator of RedMemoria, a platform dedicated to memory and education.
