The Community of Madrid, in collaboration with the Cluster of Innovation in Technologies and Talent in Space Technologies, has produced educational materials for the total solar eclipse that will be visible tomorrow in several parts of the region. The Vice-Minister of Universities, Research, and Science, Mirina Cortés, expressed gratitude for the cluster's cooperation, represented by one of its directors, Francisco Marín, in preparing and validating the content. These materials encompass brochures, panels, videos, and digital resources, along with support for disseminating information about the astronomical phenomenon. Recognition was also extended to co-director, Jesús Gallego.
Various research centers and universities, alongside the cluster, have organized talks and workshops to bring this event closer to the public. The regional government has also proposed astronomical educational challenges for schools and institutes during April and May, under the 'Eclipse Wednesdays' initiative. Additionally, certified special glasses for safe observation of the event have been distributed free of charge, and a practical guide with tips for August 12th has been prepared.
