The 14th International Magic Festival will take place on the weekend of April 24th and 25th. Organized by local illusionist Luis Boyano, this event will bring together renowned international magicians for three days of wonder. Part of the ticket proceeds will be donated to the TACUMI Foundation for its Traveling Classrooms project.
On Friday, April 24th, the Close-Up Magic Gala, starting at 7:30 PM, will feature the two-time world champion of card magic, Mago Migue. On Saturday, a free children's gala titled The Magic of Stories will be offered, subject to capacity. The day will culminate with the Grand Magic Gala, hosted by Luis Larrodera, featuring artists such as French magician Néstor Hato and other Spanish and international talents.
The Book Week will begin on April 20th with a free book exchange in local libraries, allowing attendees to swap up to five books daily until April 25th. On Wednesday, April 22nd, the Juan Van-Halen library will host a baby storytelling session, To the Rhythm of Hands, aimed at children under three. The following day, a storytelling session for older children, Dragons and Mice, the Coolest Poets, will take place.
As a grand finale to this literary week, the traditional Book Fair will be held on April 25th in the Plaza de la Constitución, open from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Additionally, the Teatro Bulevar will host other cultural proposals, such as the play Murder on the Orient Express on Friday, April 10th, and Treasure Island. The Casa de Cultura Paco de Lucía will offer conferences on poetry and neuroscience, including the Poetic Soiree and Roman Afternoons. Throughout the month, two exhibitions will be open: one dedicated to Drawings by Daniel Vázquez Díaz and another on Circular Paintings by Concha Garrote.
