The Guadarrama City Council has launched a tender to renovate and improve 22 children's playgrounds in the municipality with an investment of 374,863.70 euros, co-financed by the Community of Madrid.

The project, which aims to modernize play areas and urban furniture, will be open for bids until April 29. This initiative is part of the actions promoted by the Guadarrama Department of Environment to optimize green and leisure spaces in the town.
The total investment amounts to 374,863.70 euros and is divided into two lots. The first, with a budget of 290,458.83 euros, will focus on the renovation of children's play equipment. The second lot, valued at 84,404.87 euros, will be allocated to the supply of complementary furniture such as waste bins, benches, and signage.
Interested companies have until 11:59 PM on April 29 to submit their proposals through electronic administration. Once the contract is formalized, the estimated period for the supply and installation of the new elements will be two months.
This action is part of the subsidies granted by the Ministry of Presidency, Justice and Local Administration of the Community of Madrid to municipalities with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants for beautification projects. Furthermore, the Guadarrama City Council has already requested new interventions for the 2026 fiscal year, with an additional amount of 374,475 euros, to continue improving and adapting all green areas to the best conditions of use.
