From storytelling and participatory theater for the youngest to parades that will bring literary characters to interact with residents, the initiative seeks to promote reading habits. Additionally, the book La llave de Zoaht will be presented, and an express creative writing workshop will be held for young people and adults.
“"This year we aim to involve everyone, young and old, in a special program that will extend until Saturday."
The María Giralt Municipal Library has designed a program focused on young audiences, including an English storytelling session for children aged 3 to 8, for which tickets have already sold out. On April 23, Valdemorillo's town center will be filled with magic during a parade starting at 5:30 PM from the Library Square, where a theater group will bring literary characters to life.
Continuing with the Book Day program, at 7:00 PM, the conference room of the Municipal Library will host the presentation of the novel La llave de Zoaht. The author will share her creative process and inspirations behind her work, which merges mythology with an engaging narrative. Admission will be free until full capacity is reached.
On Friday, April 24, children will once again take center stage with a participatory English theater session, scheduled for 4:30 PM and aimed at children aged 3 to 8. This activity, performed by Kids&Us, will allow up to fifteen participants to enjoy while developing their creativity. Registrations are open at the Library counter or via email.
Finally, on Saturday, April 25, an express creative writing workshop will be held for young people and adults. Scheduled for 11:00 AM, this workshop will offer practical techniques to transform ideas into unique stories. Furthermore, Book Week coincides with the deadline for submitting entries to the XX Bookmark Contest, whose winner will receive a batch of books and have their design printed and distributed as part of the official image of LiberVal 2026. The Library also features a special selection of titles awarded the Cervantes Prize.
