On April 18, the Villa de Miraflores Art Center was the setting for the awards ceremony of the XI Allende Sierra Narrative Contest. This literary event, organized by the cultural associations Ecos de Miraflores de la Sierra, Chozas de la Sierra de Soto del Real, and Grupo Literario Encuentros de Tres Cantos, gathered participants and the public from various locations.
The competition featured 64 stories from 24 municipalities located on the Madrid side of the Sierra de Guadarrama. The gala not only celebrated literature but also included a musical performance by the Grupo Entresierras, who entertained attendees with traditional local music, played on ancient instruments created by shepherds from the Sierra.
The writer who saved nights

The event concluded with the organizing associations' commitment to launch the call for the XII contest by the end of the year. The Chozas de la Sierra Association will take over the organization of the next gala, which will be held in the spring of 2027 in Soto del Real.
