The Grand Gate of the Bullring in Moralzarzal was completely packed on the afternoon of Thursday, September 10, for the presentation of the 30th Anniversary of the Frascuelo de Plata Trophy. The event was attended by residents, fans, bullfighting world figures, breeders, and bullfighters.
During the event, the Councilor for Festivities, Mar Gómez, highlighted Moralzarzal's bullfighting tradition, which dates back nearly four centuries, and the figure of Salvador Sánchez “Frascuelo”. Gómez emphasized the value of this thirtieth edition, stating that the trophy "must be earned in the ring" and represents "a piece of Moralzarzal", aiming for a full bullring of families and fans celebrating traditions.
The presenter Mamen Sánchez and the spokesperson for the Government Team, Fernando Cobo, detailed the fair's schedule, including the profiles of the bullfighters and the characteristics of the bulls. Fernando Cobo also defended the local identity, emphasizing the importance of traditional bull runs and the recovery of historical festivities such as the Toro de Frascuelo and the Toro del Botellín.
The bullfighting fair will take place from September 25 to 28. On Friday the 25th, with free admission, the final of the I Puerta de la Sierra Bullfighting Contest will be held. On September 26, 27, and 28, bullfights with picadors for the XXX Frascuelo de Plata Trophy will take place, featuring bulls from breeders such as José Cruz, Adelaida Rodríguez, and Monte Alto, and the participation of bullfighters like Jairo López, Daniel Moset, Iván Rejas, and David López.
Season tickets are available at popular prices: the General Pass (€20) includes the three bullfights with picadors, lunch, and a fellowship dinner. There is also a reduced pass (€10) for those under 18 and over 65, and a gastronomic pass (€4). Individual tickets range from €10 to €5, with free admission for children under 14.
