The town of El Escorial will host this Saturday, June 13th, the 58th Cycling Grand Prix, which will serve as the Madrid Championship for several categories.

The El Escorial classic solidifies its position as one of the most important cycling events in the Community of Madrid, bringing together the regional elite for a day marked by competition and the festive atmosphere of the celebrations honoring San Bernabé.
Organized by the Club Ciclista Escurialense, the race will crown the Madrid champions in the men's elite, under-23, and master categories (30, 40, 50, and 60). The start and finish lines will be located on Avenida de la Constitución in El Escorial, with the main race commencing at 5:30 PM and concluding around 8:00 PM.
Elite, under-23, and master 30-50 cyclists will face an 86-kilometer route with 1,288 meters of accumulated elevation gain, including ascents to the Cruz Verde and El Almojón climbs. Master 60 riders, meanwhile, will start from Zarzalejo at 6:40 PM, completing a 48-kilometer course.
The competition for the regional titles adds a special allure to the event. The top three finishers in each category will receive trophies, and the winners will be awarded the official Madrid champion jerseys by the Federación Madrileña de Ciclismo.
In addition to individual titles, awards will be presented to the best teams, the most outstanding local social rider, and the most combative cyclist, honoring San Bernabé, the town's patron saint.
The event is sponsored by the Ayuntamiento de El Escorial and supported by various local entities and businesses, including ICR Express, Bosch Car Service, Hierros Escorial, and Asador Cruz Verde, among others.
