The operation of VerdApp is straightforward: users must download the app, register, and after recycling, bring their unlocked mobile phone close to the NFC chip on the container. Internet connection is not required, nor is opening the app each time waste is deposited, as it is sufficient to bring the phone close and accept the registration later.
The application establishes different reward levels based on recycling habits. Reaching Level 1 earns a €15 voucher; Level 2, which rewards maintaining the habit, grants €30; and Level 3, for those who separate even more, rewards with €50. Detailed criteria for each voucher can be consulted directly within the app.
The participation period for the program runs from September 14 to March 14. The obtained vouchers can be used between March 14 and May 15. Downloading VerdApp is free and encourages residents to start recycling.
